...Becoming a Feather Down farm.........

Feather Down Farm Days......an exciting opportunity for rural diversification.

Are you looking for a unique and exciting diversification opportunity which generates a serious income?
Due to exceptional customer demand in the U.K, Feather Down Farm Days are looking to work with new farms in unspoilt rural locations. We are focusing our farm expansion  in key tourist areas and/or areas of outstanding natural.

Feather Down offers you, the farmer, a diversification opportunity which generates a significant additional income, whilst fitting alongside your core farming activities. We are looking for farmers who are passionate about safeguarding the future of our countryside and who have a genuine desire to share their extensive knowledge with our customers.

Feather Down Farm Days: our main considerations

  1. The traditional working farms are threatened due to the World economic instability. If the farmer disappears, so the costs of maintaining our countryside escalate to unmanageable levels , thus threatening the future of the countryside for everyone.
  2. Across Europe, there is a growing necessity in the small and mid-scale agricultural sector to gain income through the diversification of activities. This is never more evident than in the U.K itself
  3. There is an increasing demand from educated families for small-scale holidays with a genuine educational value and “real”experience. There is a growing need for parents to teach their children about responsible living and the countryside, in particularly the provenance of the food we eat. This is a reaction against the mass-market fun-packed holidays. With our weak currency, the demand for domestic holidays is increasing.

Who are our customers?

Our target group are double-income educated families with children between 2-15 years old. They are high consumers who are aware of their surroundings. Our customers consciously seek out small-scale educational holidays in picturesque rural settings.
