...the Feather Down farm shop
On every Feather Down farm there is a 'farm shop’ available for the guests, in the farm yard. In the farm shop you can buy everything that you need for your stay. A Feather Down farm experience is only complete when, armed with the recipes from the shop, you buy your ingredients in the shop and try out one of the local dishes.
Trust is still very normal in the countryside. So, the door of the shop is always open, you just get what you need and write down what you take with you. You settle the bill with the farmer at the end of your stay.
The range of the Farm Shop consists of, amongst other things;
- Products from the farm itself or the area
- Food items produced in a traditional way.
- Butter, milk, cheese (from the region) and eggs.
- Potatoes and vegetables with an accent on the lesser known varieties.
- Delicacies prepared in the traditional way.
- Wood/coal for the cooking stove.
