Boswarthen Farm, Madron,
Penzance, Cornwall.
The Farm and surroundings.
The
ancient parish of Madron is named after an unknown saint and is located
north-west of Penzance with pleasant views across Mounts' Bay and St
Michael's Mount. Its history goes back into the early middle ages. It
includes the mother church of Penzance and the famous holy well of St
Madron, where it is claimed many miraculous cures took place. North of
Madron is the prehistoric holed stone known as Men-an-Tol, also believed
to have had the power of healing. Children suffering from rickets were
passed through the hole three times in the hope of restoring their health.
The farm is situated approximately 2 1/2 miles from the town of Penzance
and just ten minutes drive from the north & south coast of Cornwall.

Mount and the Lizard Peninsula in the background.
The
Boswarthen Family.
The Boswarthen Farm is run by Adrian and Madeleine Nicholls and their
children and they are delighted to have become a part of Feather Down
Farms. Madeleine comments "in the year of the Eclipse we had a
small basic campsite and enjoyed the experience so much that we have
often discussed doing this on a more regular basis. We feel that we
could offer a very different experience to our visitors on this
Farm".
