Belle Vue Farm, Poulshot, Devizes, Wiltshire.

The Farm and Surroundings.
Belle Vue Farm is a 110 acre organic farm in Poulshot near Devizes in Wiltshire. Devizes is a small market town in north Wiltshire, probably best known for the Kennet and Avon Canal's Caen Hillflight of 29 locks, which rise 237 feet in 2½ miles and because it is the home Wadworths one of the best breweries in the country.

Much of Wiltshire is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are few places in the world that can equal Wiltshire's sensation of mystical forces and unseen time less energies. Stonehenge needs no introduction and is known the worldover as an ancient monument of huge significance. Avebury's enchanting stone circles lie in the epicentre of Wiltshire's mystical landscape, with Europe's largest man-made prehistoric mound, Silbury Hill, and Britain's largest burial chamber, the West Kennet Long Barrow, close by. In the summer months, crop circles also adorn the fields surrounding this enigmatic area of about 300 acres. Walk the White Horse Trail to see our eight white horses carved into the hillsides; or take a leisurely wander through our market towns and pick up the real flavour of country life.

The Farming at Belle Vue Farm.
Belle Vue Farm is an organic farm. Joe and Izzy Dyke farm the 110 acres on Belle Vue Organically to Soil Association standards. They have 102 contract reared Friesian heifers, these are kept in two groups. In the fields various groups of free range laying chickens are kept. The 'organic' eggs are sold to a box scheme and also on the Farm. There are also some Pure MRI Suckler Cows and calves for beef and recently ducks have arrived.

Pets allowed.
Pets are welcome on Belle Vue Farm, but please keep them under close control near livestock.

The location of the Feather Down Tents.
The tents are beautifully sited between large hedges near a stream, with lots of space for safe child play. In summer the stream offers a great opportunity for adventurous water-play.

The Belle Vue Farm Family.
The Dyke family, Joe & Izzy and their four children Christopher, George, Hannah and Lucy, are the third generation of farmers on this farm, and to quote Joe; "My wife and I are veryproud of our farm in every respect it has been in the family for three generations and hopefully my sons will make it to the fourth generation. We love to show people around the farm and indeed we are very priviliged and are keen to share this. The concept of Feather Down Farm Days was just the opportunity I have been looking for and fits perfectly in so many respects".
